100th Episode Celebration of The Incredible Dr. Pol

If you don’t already know, Nat Geo Wild air a show called, The Incredible Dr. Pol. It is about a Veterinarian in rural Michigan from The Netherlands who helps domestic animals and makes many house calls to farms. He has over 19,000 clients. Dr. Pol is a very gentle, kind but also quirky man so there is plenty of entertainment to be seen!

MKTG transformed the Hopewell Ranch in rural Michigan into an outdoor wonderland for this celebration of The Incredible Dr. Pol’s 100th ep, made possible by Nat Geo Wild. Friends, family, a national group of Fans of the Week as well as the Dr. himself were treated to a once-in-a-lifetime celebration and viewing party.

During the day, 28 attendees had the opportunity to pet, feed, and do yoga with baby goats, make Woof Packs for dogs up for adoption at local shelters, take a photo on antique tractors, visit a petting zoo and even play animal-themed bingo.

In the evening, 140 people attended an event that included a marching band to introduce the Fans of the Week and Pol to the party, a live band, Corn Pol, a Pol-aroid photo-op, Pol-Traits with a caricature artist, a Giant Thank You Card, Pol Portrait made out of Candy, and a Watering Pol (bar). Dinner and the viewing party were followed by dancing all night with the Pols and their “incrediPol’ family.

For this event, my role as the creative lead included creating a run of show, coming up with ideas for a welcome box for the winners and the overall look and feel for the event down to furniture and materials. I worked in collaboration with Nat Geo Wild’s Design lead to receive the appropriate assets and work side by side on some of the signage. We wanted to make the 100th Episode Celebration it’s own event branding, but keeping with some of the elements Nat Geo Wild already had in place to carry on brand presence. I also worked closely with the printer, hired and worked with a freelancer and helped the production team out on site where they needed.
